At Chatham’s Spring Town Meeting, held in June 2021, the Chatham Climate Action Network supported several climate-focused Warrant Articles. In addition to the Climate Emergency Declaration, delayed from the 2020 Town Meeting, C-CAN also supported and promoted three Articles that were focused on requiring the Town to begin to take important climate mitigation steps when purchasing new fleet vehicles and when issuing RFPs for upcoming capital facilities projects. In addition, Chatham CAN also supported the “Plastic Bottle Ban” Article. All four of these Articles were passed by large majorities at the Town Meeting!
