On September 25 Chatham CAN presented “Climate Impacts in Chatham: Understanding & Managing the Risks.” This program explored the many ways that climate change is already affecting our community, what lies ahead, and the steps the Town and its residents can take to prepare.
The event featured presentations from experts at the Woods Hole Group and Chatham’s own resilience leaders:

Among the questions that the panelists considered were:
- What does the latest science on climate impacts tell us about changing weather patterns, sea-level rise, and flood risks in Chatham?
- What impacts pose the greatest risks to Chatham?
- What steps can the community take to manage and reduce those risks?
- What actions the Town taken to strengthen resilience and protect the community?
- What options might the Town explore in the near future to manage the risks we’re facing?
